Tara is a native of Illinois, but has lived in Wythe County for 8 years. Tara completed her BSN at Illinois State University in 2012 & graduated in 2014 from Lincoln Memorial University with her MSN. Her nursing experience began with trauma & ER nursing.  She then practiced family medicine and did home Medicare physicals for five years. She is specialized in diabetes care. She is a certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist. She is also a certified nutritionist. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 boys, hiking, kayaking, and exercising.
